Call for abstracts – Hazards 30 process safety event

IChemE is inviting technical content for its Hazards 30 process safety event and would like to hear from anyone who can provide insight into good practice, lessons learned, or new techniques in every major aspect of process safety, including fire and explosion hazards.

Hazards 30 is an international, industry-focused event which will share new knowledge and disseminate good process safety practice across the process industries and beyond. Presenting at Hazards 30 is a chance to contribute to this knowledge sharing, help improve competence across the industry, make new contacts and exchange ideas and experiences with process safety practitioners from all over the world.

Presentations are invited from a range of industry sectors, including those where process safety is being applied to new technologies. Practical examples from operating companies, together with research projects that bridge industry and academia, are particularly welcomed. Lessons learned from incidents or near misses are encouraged, as are success stories demonstrating how good process safety practice has delivered tangible, positive results. As IChemE marks the 60th anniversary of Hazards, examples linking old and new incidents, with a perspective on the lessons learned for the future, are welcomed.

Brief abstracts outlining your proposed presentation are invited in the first instance. The deadline for submitting an abstract is Friday 4 October 2019.
