64th UKELG ONE DAY DISCUSSION MEETING ON EXPLOSION INCIDENTS AND NEAR MISSES
28 November 2024 | Surrey, UK
UKELG's 64th meeting is now approaching and marks the first meeting in 2025, at the University of Surrey. There is an option to attend online, however, don’t miss out on the opportunity to engage with colleagues in person.
Research in the field of Explosion Science generally leads to enhancements in safety and reductions in the numbers and severity of explosion incidents. The incidents which do unfortunately still happen can also teach us. Valuable insights into the consequences of explosion incidents can help to better understand the explosion phenomena and conversely; understanding of explosion phenomena can help to understand an incident. The 64th UKELG discussion meeting is dedicated to this topic – the two-way synergy between explosion incidents (and near misses) and research.
If you have not advised of your intention to attend, please do so ASAP using the registration link below. The cost of the day will be £50 to include coffee, lunch and tea. Tickets are only available on Eventbrite and are available as in-person or online tickets. Students requiring assistance with the registration fee and with travelling expenses should contact the Secretary. The Secretary can also be approached for financial assistance, for those who are retired or otherwise financially unsupported by an academic or other organisation. The Committee is looking forward to your response and registration and to meeting you again in Buxton on the 28th November.
Dan Allason (Secretary)
Salvador Navarro-Martinez (Treasurer)
