Risk from gasoline pipelines in the UK

SUMMARY
To inform the development of what have now become the Pipeline Safety Regulations 1996, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) commissioned a study to determine the risks posed by gasoline pipelines in the UK. The study compared individual and societal risks for four pipelines of varying diameter and operating pressure in both rural and urban areas.
