FABIG Members: Log-in to access all FABIG resources

Speaker(s): Sam Greg

Organisation(s): Arup

Duration: 70 min

SUMMARY

The main objective of the Hy4Heat project (www.hy4heat.info) is to assess whether hydrogen is a suitable alternative to natural gas for the heating of domestic and commercial properties. As part of the Hy4Heat project, Sam Greg has been involved in a safety study the aim of which is to provide a quantitative assessment of the consequences of confined hydrogen cloud explosions following leak and dispersion events within a domestic setting. This webinar covers some of the methodologies used and some of the difficulties in modelling such complex phenomena.
