The 16th International Symposium on Hazards, Prevention and Mitigation of Industrial Explosions (ISHPMIE) will be held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, from April 20 to 24, 2026.
This event is organized by the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the National Science and Technology Council. The symposium will bring together academia, research institutions and industry, and the program will feature high-level presentations from both perspectives. Special emphasis will be placed on safety issues related to the net-zero mission and the application of Al in preventing industrial explosions.
Around 250 professors, researchers, and industry representatives from around the world are expected to attend the conference, which will be held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center in downtown Kaohsiung. The programme will also include tours to Shoushan National Nature Park, Buddha Museum, or the world-famous tech hub - South Taiwan Science Park, as well as a Gala Dinner to experience authentic Taiwanese cuisine and the world-renowned bubble tea, all are included in the registration fee.
Abstract submission will be open until 6th October 2025.
