The energy transition is driving significant changes in existing hydrocarbon facilities, from reducing their carbon footprint to full-scale repurposing. Additionally, substantial advancements are being made in delivering low-carbon energy and ensuring energy security through hydrogen, ammonia, battery technologies, and carbon capture and storage (CCS). This Technical Meeting will explore the emerging fire and explosion engineering challenges associated with these transformations.
